I just got myself a MFD2 sat nav. A friend of mine has a Touareg, and he wanted to replace his sat nav with a aftermarket one, so got his sat nav.
I know the fascia of the mfd2 for touareg is different than the Golf/León/Octavia MFD's, but i guess the wiring and stuff is all same. So i'll do a custom made fascia and everything gonna be ok.
My q is, are these sat navs plug&play ? Do i have to change anything (ex. wiring, connectors etc.) ? Maybe i have to do something with vag-com, it's no prob. Did anyone do this swap ?
and, how can i change the software of the unit ? At start-up, it shows an image of VW, and the background color is blue. I want the seat logo and the red background.
lastly, if someone could send me a copy of the navigation cd-dvd (europe), it'll be very appreciated
I'll go to Athens next week and i want to use the navigation all the time, so i need the cd-dvd.
