Seat knows this switch is substandard, tried to screw me 20 odd quid about a year ago (car was only 6 months old).Dealer said it should be a warranty claim , Seat said I had to pay, rang Seat uk stuck a few ffffs into them, found out that they had no stock of the switch and 647 on back order, so politely (not) explained that if they had that many breaking then they were not fit for purpose and demanded a replacement f.o.c., lo and behold ' ON THIS ONE OCCASION WE HAVE DECIDED TO REPLACE IT UNDER WARRANTY'

what are you guys doing with your knob?
mine's fine nearly 3 years on.

nightflight we had an early 1.4 that had chromed metal interior door handles, now you get silver coloured plastic, seems once the press have stopped looking at a new model release the quality of parts is severely reduced to save costs, so maybe you are lucky and have one of the original stock mirror switch because the one on mine the knob was mounted on the shaft by three plastic legs about the thickness of a pin, no way would that stand up to twisting and moving more than half a dozen times without breaking.
P.S mines a 2011 1.6 crtdi.

i highly doubt they change the parts, it is incredibly expensive to do that most likely more than the cost saving for a few ml less plastic.

just some people have heavy hands :p
