Mk 2 Leon FR PD170 - No dash lights, no start, no electrics at all bar radio and interior lights.

Evening all,

As above, having an issue with a mates leon. No dashboard lights, no start, no nothing. Battery is good and fully charged. obviously there is no comms to any control units via my scanner. Im swaying towards thinking this is a control unit/power relay issue but im hoping someone has solved a similar issue before and saves me the headache. its also worth saying that the vehicles cooling fan was running into all hours of the morning before, he started disconnecting the battery to stop it draining it out, bought a new battery eventually and a couple of days ago went out to the car and no power at all.

any info appreciated.

Hi. I had this problem for 10 weeks . Took it to Central Audi and VW in Birmingham and it turned out to be a duff (2nd hand) relay 373. But the original one went fubar and needed most of the modules re coding to get car running again. I had 2 auto electricians and an independant look at it before getting fixed.
