Mk1 leon - Dash trims / plastic surrounds ? Carbon

Hello all .

Are there any good quality dash trims out there . The centre console trim on
My leon is silver and I hate it . Is it possible to buy carbon or black trims for the
Centre console / and door card window switches surrounds ?

Mine are carbon wrapped,you can buy it of ebay,3M i think is what you need

I have mine sprayed red at the min. you can get black ones off older leons. and like brett said you can wrap it, mine is soon getting wrapped snow camo

The stuff you want is the 3d carbon wrap off eBay. It is self adhesive so will literally just stick on but won't work well around curves. You should apply heat to the wrap when applying to corners (get a little heat gun or you can just use a lighter)
With this, you should get the carbon wrap that is described as 'bubble free' or 'air free'. This is a little more porous and will allow air to escape through the vinyl upon heat; completely eliminating the risk of air bubbles. You can buy proper application tools, but just use a credit card to work the vinyl into shape.

sorry to dig up an old thread but how do you remove this trim, ive tried a few times and just feels like a make or break situation lol

anybody have a method. ive taken engines in and out but this trim part ivades me

Anybody removed these before that can shed some light, just dont want to break them, i assume they juat snap off???

Head unit out then 2 torx screws behind it. Taje the ash tray out which is 1 screw and a plug for the cig lighter. Then theres 2 torx screws behind that. Then its just held on by 2 clips either side of the ac unit and another 2 either side of the cup holder and last button thing
