It is possible, at a cost! If you have a unit in the glovebox and satnav then it is a lot easier than one without.

Hi. If I were to get a mib 2 unit from a scrap car. What software do I need to remove CP and code it to my car?

I had this recently and had a vag retrofitter use ODIS to remove CP. From what I saw it’s a paid for system so you might be best just getting a pro to do it, think I paid £60

I didn’t fit the headunit but afterward cp needed removing so I did a bit of Googling on the subject as I had no idea what it was and found a local retrofitter to do the work.

I have the unit in the glove box. Is it possible to just get one from ebay and get the CP removed and get it coded to my car

I would say yes, but you need to have all the relevant Swap 'FEC' codes enabled to suit your car, that would be a job for a specialist retrofitter I think.
