Mk3 vs Mk4 chassis

Hi guys,

Looking at buying a Mk3 Ibiza, for road use and the odd track day.
Is the Mk3 chassis any good when compared with the Mk4 please?
OR is it regarded as a bit pants?

Mk3 is based on an old golf
Mk4 is poor from the outset

Both improved massively with decent damping and springs and arbs

From what I've heard MK3's are generally better handling cars when modded slightly. I can't comment from my own experience though as only owned a MK2 GTi and MK3 cupra so same chassis.

Theres also the fact that MK3's are so much better looking.
