So ive got a 14 plate pcp ibiza fr. Ive been getting bored so want to mod it a bit more heavier than i already have (remapped and silencer removed) both of which are easily reversible. I thought the best place to start was the dealer i bought from (seat linwood) gave them a call and spoke to the chap i bought it from he said basically you can mod the car as much as you want aslong as 1. It isnt illegal 2. It will still pass an mot, he said finance companies get pissy if you simply hand back a modded car at the end, instead of trading it in or buying it. If you plan on simply handing the car back it should be returned to stock.
If you want to trade it in, the mods will be taken into consideration and reflected on the price.
My opinion and findings. LLike to hear from you guys.

I personally wouldn't want to mod anything that isn't technically mine, i wouldn't want to do any significant engine mods to anything that still has a dealer warranty. If your planning on keeping it, go ahead. If not you may be seriously disappointed when you trade it in. Perhaps you should have saved, got an older model and got all those modding hormones out of your system?
