Multichanger Problems

bought the car without multichanger as i already had one and looking in the boot im guessing it fits on the left hand side of the car. the main problem is the that i cant seem to find a cable to plug into the multi changer.iv found a cable which come from behind the carpet near rear light but its a single multipin plug which wont fit my multichanger.is this the right plug?do i need an adapter or a totally new multichanger or is it just the wrong plug.
