My 16V GTI MK2 Ibiza

OK so maybe not new to me seeing as I've had two before

But this time I've got myself an ABF Powered 2.0 16v (150BHP). With it only weighing 1000kg its pretty damn quick, probably quicker than my old BMW 323 actually.

122,000 miles
Full service history (owned by previous owner for 7 years!)
Folder full of reciepts for pretty much everything!

Only paid £800 for it, which is an absoloubte steal considering the performance and all round excellent condition of the car, its done 122k but looking at it you'd swear its done half that.

Current plans
- MOMO Millenium evo steering wheel on order
- New handbrake gaitor
- New gear knob
- Pioneer HU, Sub and 6x9s
- New number plates
- source a drivers side fog light cover
- Cotton panel filter


Future plans
-Possibly new set of wheels
- Lower 30-40mm
- Maybe a subtle stainless exhaust

Few new pics, first mod has arrived..... New steering wheel, old one was knackered so bought this MOMO Milenium Evo replica and it has transformed the car! Looks so much more modern and feels so much nicer to drive, also has increased my legroom too, an essential mod in my view!

There is something about a black 16v, that would be my second choice after a white one. .

What do you have planned next?

Bodywork ideally, I'm missing a foglight cover and I have some surface rust around my rear screen so thats top of the list for me.

After that I'd like to replace the wheels ideally with some MK3 Cupra stars but anything that catches my eye will do, maybe a set of Superleggeras or some Rota's

Finally a nice 40mm drop to finish it off, I'll await the 100mm+ crew to come along and tell me to slam it but I've been there, done that and didn't like it, I think a subtle 40mm drop will keep it driveable but eliminate most of the body roll.

Oh and a decent headunit, uprated speakers and a Subwoofer.

Maybe eventually I could go full on berserk and Turbo the ABF lump?

if i ever get the chance and have spare money for a second car i think a 16v gti mk2 would be it
