My washing bonanza this morning!

With all that nonsense waiting for my speeding ticket to come through i have not been sleeping! woke up at 5.30 this morning A bit hung over from 1 too many beers took the took for a walk and decided to wash the motor and thought i would share the pics with you!
to be honest for the amount of effort i put in, not that impressed by the results! but hey opinions and advice welcome!

First off: rinsed the car with a watering can lol then gave it some loving with2 mitts and the 2 bucket method helped with Megs Gold class Wash,
Dryed with megs water magnet cloth (i will be going to sonus waffle weave badboy when i have some spare cash) and various microfible cloths.
I then gave it a polish with autoglym super resin polish, Followed by 2 coats of megs gold class liquid wax, then topped off with autoglym gloss sealant.
Wheels:cleaned using the megs wheel brush and tyre brush, licked with 2 coats of poorboys wheel sealant (mmm smells yum!) tyres brushed with autosol tyre dressing, Windows, autoglym fast glass, and exhaust polished with some peek metal polish!

Autoglym arent exactly the best products nowadays. Some will argue and say there amazing.

There are soo many newer and up-to-date products that will be easier to use, less messy and give far better results.

I absolutely love the Chemical Guys range, every single product i have tried has been awesome, have a look on www.carwashnwax.com

Not sure the extra gloss protection is supposed to be used over the top of anything other than their own resin polish . . .

Have a look on http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk for some superb Chemical Guys products that I have been very pleased with over the past weekend (my shoulder still aches!!). I used mirror finish glaze, followed by XXX hard wax. Excellent results!!

ok good shout i just assumed sealant being a general use sealant??

i use poorboys ex-p sealant left to cure for an hour then lightly buffed off. i follow that up with a layer of nattys paste wax. gives a beautiful shine its just a shame about scratches and stone chips

try it this way next time:
wash the car as your doing then put 2 coats of SRP on then put another way of sealant, then put some good wax on the car. this give me a good shine, but its nothing to brag about.

And bearing in mind what he has said is wrong. SRP if you use it should go on fresh paintwork ie with nothing on before to help it bond and fill the swirls. Putting a sealant on will create a barrier meaning it won't stay put as well if at all.
As said Chemical Guys range is fantastic and their best product is Jet Seal 109 for an awesome finish and at the moment my product of the year. Can also be used as a wheel wax as has very good durability but it's party piece is the finish it leaves.

me personally

I would have washed it twice, rinsing between each wash, give it a good claying with Meguiars clay bar and using Meguiars quick polish, then washed it again

Then used a super high resin polish

if you want a good wax, dont use the meguiars liquid wax as its not very good, hard to get off and the shine it leaves is pretty dull

get a proper pot of Carnauba wax, apply one coat and polish out, then apply a second and polish out, which will really bring up the shine of the car

goldsmart carnauba is very very good for its price, about £10 a pot and I highly recommend it - purchased from www.volksdevil.co.uk
