n249 removal - resistors

anyone know of the where abouts of a guide for doing the resistors ? did a search but no luck !!

with resistors its a gamble as it still can trigger engine light.

I used the resistor trick for 3 years... and on Friday for some unknown reason have now got 6 fault codes?????

Basically filled up at the petrol station and bam... engine codes

Currently have a CEL light on at present so will clear the code and see if these work

or just lengthen the wires or trace them back to the bulkhead then stick them in there connected only electronically then your sorted no lights or nothing come up

Mines had risisters in for 6 months now no lights thats why you put the resistors in to stop the lights. Mine arnt even soldered in just pushed in. Any problems sean just pop over.

I got mine from maplins for 20p lol

If only poked mine in the plugs and tape the end up ATM and no lights lol

Ive twisted mine through the wire and taped up, i havent seen any of them come on bar the one for the decat which is very rare to come on.

I got 4 of them off ebay for like a fiver.

dont resistor........ tuck them out of the way if you dont want to see them....

resistive load is not same as inductive load

mines are hanging right at top of bulk head , cant seem them but i still hav my 2nd plug in use.
