Just wanted to say hello to all.
I mid January i became the proud owner of my almost new Leon Cupra 280. Chuffed to bits with it. The spec is:
5dr
DSG
Dynamic Grey
Leather
Winter Pack
ACC - I thought they all had this until i saw one without?!?
It's my first Seat and quite a lot of deliberation went into it. Coming from a C43 AMG mercedes it was always going to feel modern and new but it really is everything i want from a car. Looked at a Golf R and didn't want to spend all of those pennies as much as i would like 4wd, almost signed on a Golf GTI but read so many reviews about the Cupra that i was really pleased i tried one out. Also you see Golf's absolutely everywhere and i couldn't justify the price difference. I know it will be worth more on resale, but not that much more! The Leon is a Proper Jekyl and Hyde car which is great as i need a relaxing daily driver and then something to play in at the weekend. Also looked at a 135i - what an engine, but even my 4 year old some was struggling for legroom in the back.
Dynamically i'm not sure if the Leon is quite as good as the R26 Megane i had, but as an overall package it is great. I had a 2013 Subaru WRX STI which had a great bit of theatre about it but you couldn't live with it everyday like this car. Also once you are rolling the Leon is way quicker despite a slight power and torque shortage - the benefits of modern engines!
Best way i have heard the colour described as so far is 'It's like looking at a white car, but parked in a shadow'.
Thanks for reading....
