An ecomotive with media pack? You sure the extra weight and extra electrical load won't raise the MPG too much......

Only kiddin', welcome to SCN :D

I had an Ibiza Ecomotive as a courtesy car yesterday. The noise it made on tickover reminded me of a strimmer.

Not a bad drive though to be honest. It did 47mpg driving around the city centre!

Hi mattster. :)
Don't own one but had a Leon Ecomotive TDI as a courtesy car over two days when I had my 10K service and some warranty stuff done. Nice drive, smooth, quite torquey, good mpg (as you'd expect!). Handling was good - as usual for a Leon - but the skinny tyres may be good for mpg but aren't quite so good for road-holding and heavy braking. Had a Leon 1.4i today as a courtesy car and that was pants compared to the Ecomotive - seemed to drink petrol too, my FR is more economical fuel-wise than the 1.4. £10 in petrol only lasted 56 miles!

However, I'm sure you'll love your Leon and it is most definitely an upgrade from a Note. Get a nice subtle SCN sticker on it! [B)]

Be sure to make good use of this forum, plenty of hints and tips that either arn't known by the dealer or easy to find in the manual.

(SE used to be called Stylance, so the model is relatively new)

just had the eco se delivered on the back of a trailer yesterday. so far impresiions are very positive allthough the recommended gear is a bit naff as it is asking me to upshift at just over 1000 revs. the media system is ace and sat nav very smooth. i have the tmobile galaxy lite android which worked with no issues.
performance wise its very simular to a 1.6 petrol so not too slugish, but im never gonna keep up with your frs and cupras :)
the brakes and road handling are excellent, much better than my outgoing nissan.
one question, is there a way of the wing mirrors automaticly folding when i lock the car?

Hold the lock button down when locking the car for a couple of seconds and they'll fold in, assuming you have folding mirrors that is.

I wonder if theres anyone who buys an ecomotive that after buying it thinks hmm needs more and gets it remapped? Yeh I know a stupid questionit was just the first thing that popped into my head. And then once it was mapped would it be even more eco because it should get higher mpg?

hehehe

its a company leased car so no mods for this one :) i almost got an fr but that would have cost me £120 per month as opposed to 80 for this one with the media pack, i also claim mileage hence why i went for the ecomotive. i just took it for a drive up to the forest of dean ive never owned a seat before but enjoyong so far, plenty of torque for overtaking, it reminds me of my old celica to drive.
