Newbie from Cheshire interested in child safety

Hi everybody,
Hoping the group will be able to help me with a child car seat safety issue I am having. I strongly believe in extended rear facing for children and want to provide the safest travel for my grandchildren.
The seat I use for 3 of them use tether straps to the rear of the front seats runners. Only Volvo has tether loops fitted as a norm. I have bought tether mounts from Sweden which need to be fitted between the front seat runners and the floor, a very simple job I have been lead to believe. Interest if anyone has experience of these.

Car Length In Front
Welcome,

I have to admit I've heard (and been using) the top tether that secures behind the rear seats. But I've never heard of the seats that have a tether that attaches to the front seat. For rear facing I had ones that had an extendable leg instead.

So can't help I'm afraid, but I am interested in knowing more just out of sheer interest.
