Confusion, mate. You're confusing a MAF sensor (Mass Air Flow) with a MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure).
A MAF sensor sits in the air intake
before the turbo, and measures the amount of air coming into the engine intake, then the ECU reads this and adds fuel accordingly to give the correct fuel air ratio.
A MAP sensor sits in the boost pipework
after the turbo and tells the ECU how much boost the turbo is producing so that the ECU can control the boost.
If you've got an overboost situation then your MAF could well be fine.
Edit: Sorry, forgot to tell you what to do now.
Given your fault code reading then I suggest you try and find a local tuner to reinstall a stock map to your car and see if it's actually been remapped or not. It could be a similar
problem to the thread you've been reading, but you don't know yet if you have a mapped ecu or not. Take it back to stock and cure the fault (if it's still there) then see about remapping it again if you feel the need.
Your insurance company will like to know if it
is remapped or not, as your insurance can be invalidated if it is and you don't tell them.
