Hey Guys!

I have been looking on this form for a couple of weeks now and seeing loads of the fab cars that you own. I have also been looking around the internet and dealers at some cars to buy.

I think i have finally made my mind up now:D , either a Leon Cupra TDI or a MK 4 Ibiza Cupra TDI. I have test driven a Leon Cupra and though that it was a really good and clean car but it was a bit over priced for my liking.

I was just wondering if you guys could shed some light on any things or areas that i should be looking out for, when i go for a few more test drives on the weekend.

Sorry for all the Question and Statements but which would you go for Leon Cupra TDI or Ibiza Cupra TDI?

Many Thanks for your helps Guys it's much appreciated!

Dave

Seeing as this is in the Leon forum I'm guessing most people will say Leon ;)

I bought a Leon because the Ibiza's are just too small for me, and I don't really like the look of them :)

Leon all the way!
Although there isn't anything wrong with Ibiza's. I'm on the same opinion as Badger, the Ibiza wasn't big enough for my liking.

Look at the log books for service, water in passenger footwell, spare tyre. There are some other threads similar to this which tells you what you need to look for!

yep, absolutely nothing wrong with the Ibiza's, cracking cars, but too small for me.

Just got rid of a polo (same size as ibiza), as it was getting too small. That and the fact it did 0-60 in about a week. :)

It's my old man's fault for getting me think about the Ibiza. I like the Ibiza from one angle but then you look at it in different angle i just don't like it.

The Leon looks good from all angles!! I love it!! :)

The what in the footwell promblem is that similar to the problem that occurs on the MK4 Golf where it creaps in thought the Bonnet Cable and the Gromet!

My sole reason for picking a Leon over an Ibiza, from day one is a question of practicality.

Although at the moment I don't have a pressing need for back-seat space.. it sure as hell comes in handy on thos odd occasions when I need it. Now I realise the Ibiza seats collapse forward, but I've never been a fan of it. My XR2, my Zetec-S etc. all 3-door and I thought it was about time I made my life easier and got something with two extra handles.

In addition to the obvious space advantages to the Leon; I can't help but adore the styling of the Mk1 Face-lift Cupra and Cupra R. They just look superb. I'd happily leave exterior styling utterly standard for as long as I own the car. If all my money went on performance and ICE, I'd not regret a penny.

I find the build quality of the Leon superb and as i was "switched on" to Leons after test driving a 180BHP Golf, they'll always be the premier SEAT in my eyes.

That's not to say the Toledo, Ibiza, Corboda etc. aren't superb machines. I admire them for what they are.. but it's all about the Leon is camp LiCkWiD :D
