hi every 1 my names patrick i currently have a mk3 1.4 chill its highly modified on the outside ive now decided to have a change and get myself a cupra im 22 and the insurance is pretty high iv'e been quoted just around a grand for a normal 1.8t 20v but to be quite honest id like a cupra r but trying to find 1 is like gold dust im gona have a budget of about 6k - 7k any ideas were i can get a good 1 from preferably black and under 40k mileage i wanna get to know everything about them my hotmail addy is [email protected] plz add me if any is intrested on having a chat with me about things because wen i get 1 im gona start spending big money to get it very powerful and this is were i need help to find out were the best place's are to go to get things done thanks for having a read and (probably sending you to sleep) cheers:doh:

the best way to learn about these cars is to sit on the forum for a few hours, and read through the topics etc...

good luck getting a cupra!!!!! not bad cars! :D

There's not really much point in getting the R if you're going to spend loads on modding it. All it has extra performance wise is brembos once you've changed the map on it.

But I know what you mean, insurance costs a bomb and R's are so bloody rare let alone good condition black ones. Good luck tho (unless you find one before me!!)

Dav's right tho, i've not even got a mk3 and I know loads about them from just reading threads on here.

good luck gettin an R mate, Only difference if you get a cupra is you wont have the engine cover with a small bit of carbon on it, and seat sport seats but i prefer the cupra embroided half leather seats to them anyways.

THANKS LADS FOR TAKING THE TIME OUT TO CHAT TO ME I'M GLAD U HAVE POINTED ME IN THE RITE DIRECTION ABOUT THE R'S AND THE STANDARD CUPRA I WOULDNT OF KNOWN THAT THANK YOU its dead intresting talking to so many people about the same car its ace am really fasinated about jabba and revo iv'e read quite a lot into those to companys am goin to be seein them a bit more often wen i finally get my car cant wait
