While the normal Seat Ibiza never reached American shores, the Spanish company has revealed the Seat Ibiza Cupra in Europe. The car will officially be shown at the 2008 Paris Auto Show in October.

The Ibiza Cupra comes with a 178 hp 1.4L supercharged/turbocharged TSI 4-cylinder, mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission and front-wheel-drive. Traction control, ESP, stiffer suspension, 17-inch wheels and sports seats are all standard. The exterior get special bumpers and side skirts, along with the larger wheels.

What do you mean with north american? mexican?

They are pretty much the same here.... So far now we are lacking from the cupras.

The only thing that is different here is that most of the versions come with the old 2.0 engine (115 Hp, or something like that)

North America means USA and canada :)

It may, beacuse wether or not Mexico is part of North America varies on the current agenda of the USA. [:@]

As far as I understand SEATs have never been sold in USA or Canada.
