octavia parts?!

Afternoon guys.

Been searching a bit today to stem the boredom and i was thinking... that the A3, golf and octavia run the same engine as the Leon Cupra obviously, but are the parts interchangeable within reason?!

Like for instance... a decat for a golf and octavia is the same as the leon right? or am i thinking that swapping parts is alot easier than i imagine.

tell me im stupid if you like... i was just thinking out loud and seeing if i can save some cash.

Octavia, golf, leon etc share the same downpipe/decat, so one will fit another

thats what i thought... is there a thread anywhere with interchangable parts or is that a mentally difficult task to document them all?

to save on another thread... buying a 3" DP and decat... does it require any modifying or can i just buy and bolt straight on?
