Yes definitely 507.01, 505.01 is pd oil but for not suitable for the leon fr dpf.
If I were you I would make sure that they put the right stuff in your car, if not then get them to change it...... If they refuse contact seat uk, it may invalidate the warranty using the wrong oil.

i am a parts manager and just about got my head around it. EVERY service needs a service sheet generated from ELSA to get it right. DPF needs new long life oil, not standard PD. tread very carefully . . . . . . .

Yep, your right Nick... Its confusing, I have an ibiza too which uses 505/ 01 ( which is where the "01" came from:doh:) the Leon uses 507.00 5w30 oil, also called longlife in audi/vw dealers

Can anyone recommend a make from the likes of Halfords rather than going to the dealer?

Just look for 5w30 oil and on the label on the rear look for '507.00'.

---------------------

Dropped my FR TDI into a dealer today for 1st service and brought up subject of correct oil for DPF and the woman on the desk said oh yes the DPF don't worry about that we know all about it. One of their customers is facing a £1300 bill for not looking after theirs:doh:
