Hi folks.

Can someone out my mind at ease please.

Was checking my car pre MOT. Noted the oil level was low on the hashed area so I thought I'd top it up. Did not go Ott but when I checked the level again it was pretty much on the line where the dipstick bends. I am guessing this means the top limit of area C. I know you should aim for top of hashed and that once in C do not top up anymore. Have I overfilled to a bad level or I have sneaked in just under the limit and I will be fine.

Thanks guys.

It's not the safest thing to answer is it ?? If everyone says yeah no worries it will be fine and it starts pissing oil out you won't be happy this is why is suspect 32 views and no answers, I'd say you will be fine myself but that's my opinion

I would also say you will be fine, I always tend to aim for more oil than less because I have an OCD of it running low and to date I havent had anything bad happen *Touches wood*

Well I left it overnight and checked the level this am... 2-3mm over the bendy bit or the Max line. Little bit more worries than I was but heh ho. Will get the MOT done and then maybe shoot to a garage and see if they will siphon off a little not just to put by mind at rest.
