Hi all

Well I’m not a newbie to the forum but a newbie to the mk3 part used to have mk2 Ibiza 1.4 and still have my 306td (so i know how to search.)

Just picked up a onvi yellow mk3 Ibiza cupra R:drive1: 43000miles on the clock from a fellow forum member, think adam1.4ibiza was looking at it. (Sorry Adam it’s now sitting in my garage.)

So it’s on adjustable coilovers, dumpvalve sum sort of induction kit and I think a stainless steel supersprint exhaust will check when on the ramps tinted rear windows. Also all the usual R extras oz wheels, brembo brakes, boost, voltmeter gauge and oil pressure gauge and carbon fiber engine cover, unsure what else is different don’t know that much about them.

Usual problems it has lacquer peel on the bonnet and on the wing and just starting on the roof so a respray will be on the cards come spring / summer time as it has faded in parts but will take the machine polisher too it at the weekend weather permitting.

Also it seems to go into limp mode at times :( when trying to get the turbo to kick in, after a quick search may be the MAf, any ideas the turbo just about to kick in then doesn’t.

It will need adjusted up a notch as it’s too low, can’t bear the scraping going round the roundabouts.

Will get pics up at the weekend weather permitting as the car is manky.

Future plans are fix the boost problem, tidy up the body work as mentioned above strut braces, pressed plates, come pay rise next year the respray will happen and maybe a trip to revo unsure as of yet need some inspiration. just keep the car mint as it does have low miles and I don’t do a lot of miles now about 12 a day at the most

Any way for newly being 19 and having a cupra r I don’t think i have done too bad.

that’s all sorry for boring you all with the essay just really happy to have a proper car.:D:D

I would sit back and spool up but it’s not working properly, dodgy maf me thinks

No secret mate. It isn’t cheap

Was thinking of getting a bonnet bra to hide all the lacquer peel on the bonnet as it may be a while before the respray. Mat noticed you have one does it affect the paintwork as may put it back on after the respray?
