"On the road Price" includes what?

Last time I bought a new Leon (in 2003) on the road price included delivery to dealers, 12 months tax, number plates and "full tank of fuel" Which on collection I went along with the salesman to a garage who filled and paid for a full tank.
I remember it being written down in a brochure as "tank of fuel" before but can`t find it now. (still have a brochure)

My question is, I have ordered a new fr tdi, due sept/oct, but did anyone get the tank of fuel? Or is it no longer part of the on the road pricing?
Thanks in advance, John

Our recommended On The Road Prices really are comprehensive. They include delivery, number plates, Value Added Tax, 12 months Vehicle Excise Duty based on the CO2 emission levels and Vehicle First Registration Fee charge as applicable at the time of supply.

i think the tank of fuel is complementary, ie. normally not included

I got 50 miles of fuel in my Cupra when I collected it, at least it was enough to get me home and to the nearest petrol station.

After having 5 new cars from 4 different manufacturers I have only had a tank of fuel once and that was part of the deal negiotiations.

On my last car they woudln't give me a full tank as part of the deal as it was too expensive for them. (and that was 3 years ago)

Hey people.
I just picked up my new leon fr tfsi 4 days ok.
It had on ly 50 miles worth of fuel in it.
Has any one got car mats when they got theres or is that normal to have to buy your own.
I have seen some nice fr cars mates on ebay so i am going to bid on those.

I got car mats, but they were part of the dealer "protection pack" that I got which was basically Autoglym Lifeshine and Floor Mats.

They look okay and actually say Leon on them. Normally mats are something that I negotiate as part of the deal.

You have to haggle for the Full Tank, Mats and Flaps. Or pay for them yourself.

Didn't manage to get them chucked-in on my last car because I'd played them off against each other for a good deal and they wouldn't go any further. When the car wasn't ready to be collected on time they chucked them in then as an apology.

we only got 1/4 tank of fuel when we picked up our car but i couldnt be bothered to ask for any more after the couple of week we had prior to getting the car.

we got mats thrown in to seal to the deal but i wouldnt have paid 40 odd quid for them as i thought they were quite thin and not the best quality mats ive ever seen. they do go nicely underneth to cushion the rubber mats that i have since got though.

worth considering rubber mats if you dont have any as carpet mats tend to get dirty easily and are harder to clean

i must be the same as everyone else. I got £10 of fuel in my leon when i picked it up, only about 80 miles on the computer! i guess a full tank at between £45 - £50 is too expensive for them.

We put a tenner in all the cars we sell at work.

If we sold 45 cars a month and have to put £40 of fuel in each of them, that'd cost us £1800 a month. Thats a managers monthly wage given away. We employ 8 people in our whole dealership, and that quite frankly is too much to give away.

Oh and 6% discount :p

Seems the dealers are not quite so nice nowadays
