P0012 error

hey guys after some to get this sorted asap as i have been told this is quite a serious problem (don't no if it is or not) car is a 2003 leon cupra 100% standard it has 80k on clocks cambelt water pump and full service done within last 10k! the code was cleared and stayed away for two days now its back! the engine is very slightly hunting for idle (drops from 800rpm to 700rpm) thats the only thing i have noticed with it other than that the engine is quite and smooth any help would be great thanks in advance Ash

hello again guys have ordered up the Intake Camshaft Adjuster but have now been told it could be something as simple as a blocked oil pickup pipe does this sound as it could have something to do with my problem? cheers guys Ash

Could be but hard to say without actually knowing some real details and seeing a full scan from the vehicle in question. The answer Bruce provided was as accurate as it gets just based on the OBD2 code you gave us.
