I've got this code on my car that brings up the eml light. Will this just be a sensor that needs replacing? Or will it involve a remap? As it did have a decat pipe but I've since added and powerflow sports cat to the pipework. I'm hoping to get it back to normal. Also the the new cat stinks of eggy after I've been heavy footed. Normal driving is fine. I don't understand why people want to delete the cat. It does a important job. But if anyone could advise weather to buy a sensor or invetiage if I have a hole somewhere first that would be good. Would a hole make the sensor through up a code and would it make the cat smell like it does? Just trying to figure out what's the best solution to all of this.

P1118 comes back as the heating part of the second lambda (O2) sensor (the one AFTER the cat) As the link says it will either be the wiring or more likely the sensor itself. You MUST disconnect the battery when swapping this sensor as it is very easy to fry the ECU when changing the lambda sensors, many people have done it.

For future reference, the site i've linked above is THE place to look up any fault codes. As you can see their database has causes and solutions for nearly every code you will find on these cars, a very handy resource.
