PAS belt

went to change mine today but couldnt get the belt to slacken off atall. the toothed nut thing that would normally tighten or slacken it is moving but not moving the plate that would slacken the belt. any ideas of how i can sort it out?!

you need to loosen the bolt and it should slide unless its been rung, if thats the case you might need to cut the bolt off and replace it with a new tensioner.

aha, well i thort the big dirty metal clamp wudve done the job but maybe the persuasion hammer is worth a try? il have another go when this stupid country stops pouring with rain! cheers matey

Heavy screw driver (flat head) is best, my old cordoba was squealing like a pig when I changed mine but it slackened easily once i got things moving.

took it to a bloke today and he dun it for a couple of quid!! took him about half an hour too as he had to "persuade" it loose, sound!!
