http://www.performanceremap.co.uk/index.html Has any body used them? Can't really see any reviews as searching Google just comes up with every re-map company and unhelpful results as their choice of name is somewhat unoriginal lol

My mk1 cupra has done 139k and plan on getting a full service when I'm paid, am thinking of getting a remap pay day after my next one. Do you think the other engine / transmition components will cope? They offer ecommony tuning which sounds sencible. Increased torque, power is more avaible at lower revs and less turbo lag. I'm not one of these people who goes round red lining every gear change lol I want to increase my mpg but still have fun in a sporty car.

Never heard of them where are you based?

I see no reason i the engine is looked after any reputable mapper with give it a health check beforehand anyway

Oh and you're car will be fine. There was a famous one on here that was on eBay that had 260,000 on the clock!
I couldn't resist it as I buy and sell them. Apart from some wear inside I could have wound 150,000 off it!
As long as you're car is well serviced it should be fine mate

I'm in Gloucester. Who would you recommend? Like I said I'm not after 300 bhp but increased torque and mpg

That's half the thing, I have no history apart from what I have done. I'm getting it serviced early next month then taking it from there

If it has never had a clutch budget just incase

I wish I knew, I'd really like to know what work the car has had done in the past. Cam belt and water pump specificly. The owner before me wasn't really able to give me any info and he was foreign and told me he was using the money from selling the car to return to where ever he came from. Perhaps I shall just put a lid on the idea for now and just get it fully serviced, I'd imagine I'd get better mpg for that as changing the air filter and injector cleaner seems to have helped a bit. I wanted to get my wheels sprayed and windows tinted and replace the speakers and got a couple of minor other repairs to take of. A clutch is going to be around a further £400 and that with £500 remap is more than I paid for the car lol
