Picking up at the end of this week!

Hi All

I registered here ages ago when I was looking for a new car, but bought a Peugeot 306 GTi-6 instead . I originally wanted a Cupra about 3 years ago but the price was too high at the time.

Alas my much loved 6 died on Thursday of last week and I went shopping this weekend and bought a Mk1 Cupra 180 '02 plate in the understated Grey. 'Twas the 6th Cupra I took a looking at and seems in good nick. Picking it up on Friday or Saturday of this week and very much looking forward to it.

Stalled dead, had to pull over to a layby. Fortunately no-one near me at the time. Wouldn't turn afterwards, suspected cam belt break, which is quite common after around 40k miles although they should last about 60k.

Effectively a rebuild or new engine and not worth the cash to keep her.

Very much looking forward to picking up the Cupra now though...
