Having a problem with the car right now. The problem im having is that i've lost all

confidence in the handling of the car, it just doesnt feel very planted anymore, the

steering is a bit wishy washy also not very responsive. Anybody any rough idea as to

what it could be?

Cheers guys and girls

No mods at all, completley standard cupra R. i've had the aligmnent done but dont think

that included camber or castor would that make a difference? and my tyres are all a ok!

well tracking will be out. could have a damaged ball joint, track rod end, twisted the suspension etc.. just like me lol :p

if it was a hard hit, then i would check the ball joint and see if its leaking, check to see if anything looks bent/broken etc. then get 4 wheel tracking and camber done.

mine always felt solid on the road 'till i changed the suspension again and the camber was then way out, then it was just like yours. i had a full geometry done (4 wheel alignment check, camber castor toe etc) and the camber was way out, set it up to the settings of a cupra R plus another half degree on the front ;) and its sweet again! but check nothing is bent first

as the others have said get the camber setup, after fitting my suspension the camber was out and it handled like a dog, had the camber & tracking setup, and it's been great, makes an amazing difference.

when i fitted my coilovers i set my camber my self. You have 2 way's either take wheel off and push the hub all the way back so its set same on both sides. Or jack front wheels up and lower onto big block's. Climb under car and undo the 2 bolts on bottom of shock's. Then do up tightly. This will set it square.

I took my car down yesterday to get 4 wheel alignment done and camber was perfect. But my toe was ****ed up. My tyre was really really really bad and had a snap in side wall and was like a balloon sticking out the side of tyre. Could of been because of a pot hole or anything. My advice would be to get it all checked asap. It could be worse than you think! My steering and ride was messed up and im lucking i wasn't killed. My advice get it laser aligned with a proper garage. Not a back street garage!

I lowered the car around 1500 miles ago on perfect tyres, they are now down to the bead!!

Had the alignment on my Cupra done last night. Already made a big difference to the ride. 2 new front tyres and camber being done tomorrow night, should be like a new car to drive!

God that's a bit worrying, definatly going to get the camber all set up properly. How much

have you guys been charged for a full geometry set up?
