Please Help!

I've been having problems with my CD changer in my 2001 Cupra, i thought it might be a loose conection so i phoned up Seat and they said sounds like you need new Stereo!!!

Can someone please tell me that i won't

What sort of "problems"? a little more explaination of the fault would help. You can always pick up replacement units cheap on here or Ebay cheap anyway. Loads of people upgrade so spare units aren't an issue.

Sorry, when i press the CD/Tape button on the stereo, nothing happens, and CHANGER appears on the screen,

The head units not communicating with the changer then. If you've checked the cables are in both ends I'd bank on the changer not the HU...

I hav'nt checked!! But i will, real pain to get to the changer, its about 100 screws!
