Okay so for a couple of weeks now I have noticed that my front passenger wheel has been getting quite hot after driving and I have recently started noticing a slight hesitation/ juddering when braking. Is this most likely a seized Caliper? Of so how much would a repair/ replacement roughly be on my Cupra 280?

Could also be a wheels bearing issue.

Worst case for brakes - you can get new cupra calipers for around £250 each

Pair of brake discs is currently £117 from eurocarparts if you use code WEEKEND35

Pads are around £40 a set if you use the same code.

However - I'm sure you should be able to just strip & rebuild them much cheaper.
Caliper rebuild kits are usually £35 ish

Most of the time I found it to be a seized caliper slider pin.. And not the piston... People still use copper slip to grease these when it should be silicone based grease....

Update! Been to the garage today and firstly whilst on the lift it as seized so bad the wheel wouldn't move. Upon taking the Caliper apart the sliders were fine. It became apparent the rubber boot on the piston was severely deteriorated and starting to slightly corrode. I now require new front pads and discs due to the amount of damage it has done. Is there any reason that this has happened on a 14 plate with 32k miles?

In reality - this new fixed price servicing means they do as little as possible during a service.

Going over the brake calipers unless they need new pads just doesn't happen.

I guess they expect most cars to need pads in less than 4 years.

I gave mine the once over at two years old just like I have done with every car i have owned.
