Quick purchase recommendation - DSG oil change missed

Hello forum, this is my first post here, hopefully one of many to follow since I've decided to aquire an used Seat Leon Cupra 2018 with the DSG gearbox.
A very big red flag for me was when the current owner said he didn't change the DSG oil at 60k km the car being now at around 71.500 km and driven daily.

I know this might be a very expensive repair in the future if something was not serviced properly, but I'm just wondering how much are these 11.5k km extra for the DSG oil.
Is this something I should walk away from?

Many thanks for your reply!

In the long run thats your decision.
Personally i like servicing done whether it be oil change, dsg oil or haldex oil done well before manufacturers guidelines as there is no better maintenance than preventative maintenance imo. If he has missed that service it shows a blatant disregard of any knowledge or care regarding mechanical sympathy. I would walk away personally. Plenty of cars out there owned and looked after by enthusiasts

I know there are a lot of nice ones. But I could squeeze this one into my budget while the others do not really fit, so I was wondering if I'm doing a mistake. But your points are valid, thank you for your input

My Leon Cupra 280 had never had a DSG oil change. It had done around 90k miles when I bought it. DSG was still smooth, no issues. Regardless, I had the DSG oil change done a couple of months or so after I bought it. Almost on 100k miles now.

The change interval deviation is not that big, so I would probably accept it if the car otherwise is maintained according to the VAG service plan.
FYI- I'm rather picky when it comes to our cars.....:)

PS Get it done asap!

Yes of course, I would have it done immediately, maybe even before driving it at home, that's no question. I was more afraid if these boxes are on the more sensitive side when talking about oil and if it's not too late. Nevertheless, the owner said the DSG works very smoothly and that is also the reason why he didn't consider changing the oil...

Is it the 6 speed or 7 speed DSG box?

The newer 7 speed has a longer service interval - switch occurred from September 2018.

Although not a deal breaker, I'd be interested in the reason why the service was missed as it may indicate other service issues missed. How about the front HALDEX service?
Casually mention track days or the Ring and what does the owner think of fast track days? That may indicate how hard the car has really been used.

Most specialists still recommend 40k instead of 80k miles though.
No idea 🤷🏻- I've not seen any threads about this. I was just going off the manufacturer's 80k mi interval for DQ381 box to provide a rationale for why it may not have been completed on time for the OP.

I'm not sure that SEAT changes the filter either, which some Indys will. Call a few and ask them. Last time I checked the 7 speed cost more too.

Thanks for the reply, but I no longer have the car - Swapped it for a nearly new M135i.
