Has anyone here used RainX - any opinions on it?

its very very good... you dont need wipers over 30mph..... but i will say that it last 3 times as long if you only have water in your washer bottle..... theres a crap piece of advice now winter is here

£6.99 - Halfords are doing a special offer at that price and includes a bottle of glass cleaning stuff. which is actually not that bad - it cleans the windows nicely and the rear window stayed fairly clear.

My front window this morning was iced up and the rear wasn't - not sure if that's a Rain-X thing though.....

Seems ok- I wonder how long it'll last though....

I normally update about every 4weeks after a wash to keep topped up. It is ok, but yep, need to be doing at least 35+ for any decent effect. On the motorway it is fantastic stuff.

In the details area, there was a good thread on this and another product by mer.
I bought some of this for a try out, but its yet to stop raining enough to wash the car.

Most who say its crap didnt apply it correctly, you need to apply it to clean glass, let it haze/dry, wipe witha damp cloth & then buff off with a dry one..


The stuff from CARLACK is like rain-x, but seems to work a lot better in my experiance, check out the link below, its shows treated & none treated glass side by side
