seems my FR has developed a rattle.
when you start the car its fine but when the idle speed settles down to about 700 it rattle like craZy!
if you feather the throttle slightly and raise the RPM it stops.

most likely somthing come loose will be making another trip to the dealers......
anyone had this before in a TSI or otherwise?

oh and i have a problem with the problem with the folding mirrors.
the passenger side one dosnt stop when you fold it, just keeps on going!

another warrenty fix i hope or somthing else to put down to the accedent
(since thats the mirror that was replaced)

re: mirror, does it only do it when it's cold? mine had nasty habit of doing it the past two winters, but so far, it's been ok.

Not yet just finalising the details of it, its based on a points system.. Lowest score gets made redundant
Never mind... Ill get my £750 redundancy lol bank will pay rest of my bills
Apart from the car which I'll get rid of if need be.

With the luck I'm having with it I'll be glad to get rid!
Shame cos I love it despite the faults it always brings a smile to my face driving it

I'm having the same problem with the rattle
It's coming from the right corner side on the the dashboard, right from where the air of the aircondition comes out

Image is not mine but just to show you from where
It sounds like there's a wire vibrating down there or something

but when idle settles down its contantly rattling

have to turn your speakers up loud as its very faint on the video but belive me its alot louder in the car! rattle starts about 1:27 in to the video

your rattle might be the fuel pipes inside the engine. I had a similar problem where the rattle would come on idle, go away when driving and away in start/stop mode.

Took it to the garage and this seems to be a problem Seat know about. There is a foam padding out now which allows the fuel pipes to sit in, stopping them from rattling.

The fuel pipes come up in the top Left hand side of the engine (when looking in from the bonnet)

i know the feeling.......
to be fair my issues are mostly been since my accedent
could be coincidence but i belive that the main cause of majorty of my problems

had the car 2 years prior to this and the only faults were a worn droplink, and the aircon pipe split, both fixed under warrenty.

Seems like they will keep seeing my face

Seems to do it more the colder it is strange....
Anyway
Looks like I'll be getting rid as I don't think I'll be keeping my job.
They are making 29 redundant
And have shortlisted 45 for concultstion
And I'm on the shortlist.
So the Fr might be a bye bye
Probably get another seat, have spied a petrol leon Fr with 40k for under 7 grand so watch this space I'm down but not out!

You said you've been noticing that rattle after your accident but I didn't have had any accidents with mine touch wood
Hopefully it will be fixed

My rattle is gone at the moment...maybe was there because of low temperatures (-15)...I don't know, but I have a bad feeling that it will come back...seriosly thinking of selling the car, although I still enjoy driving it very much...
