Looking at getting a cover for the rear seat of the new Leon ST. We have a child seat in the back and our son often stand on the main seat when he gets in.

Any idea where the air bags are located in the rear ?

Any recommendations for seat overs ?

I use Halfords seat covers, they do the job just fine without costing a fortune. Not sure about the rr airbags as mine doesn't have them but I'm sure they will be above the doors running from front to back.

Rear airbags

The optional rear airbags are built into the padded sides of the upright seat squabs by the rear door aperture on each side and have an embroidered "AIRBAG" tag to indicate the car has them fitted.

Were a £300 option when I bought mine and thankfully they haven't been needed to date!

I would be careful therefore if you are planning to put a rear cover on the seat, though if you left the sides clear and just covered the parts of the seat backrests that split fold, you will probably be ok.

Thanks for that. I had read about risks of covers and airbags before not realising they can put them.inside the seats padding some times. Will see if mine comes with them and adjust accordingly.
