Hi Folks,
I have a standard Leon Mk2 FR TDI.
My mechanic friend has told me that one of the rear shocks has gone or is about to. I am not mechanical in any way, but I am a very experienced driver. The car handles fine so not hugely worried at the moment, but if it gets to the point where I need to replace them, what are the best STANDARD type to go for?
I don't want it modified or lowered or raised etc, just normal ones.
Having said that, there seem to be loads of different types to choose from still. Just looking at what is out there, visually there's loads! Do I go for 'normal', I assume oil filled? Or do I go for gas ones? Do I go for just the piston or for the piston and what looks like a load of covers and god only knows what else... What will the difference be in driving if I go for gas rather than standard ones?
Can you help at all?
