The poor thing has started to do the peeing ladydog stance,
like my mk2 Golf used to do when the top spring plates rusted out. (they all do that sir!)
The springs don't appear to be broken, but the right rear corner is way lower than the other.
So new springs?
Or are there other things that rust rot or collapse in the rear suspension?

As the PR code for the suspension is missing on the "VAG white recipe label"
and the coloured paint marks on the springs are long gone,

What spring would be correct for a 110tdi SE Leon?

Fired up my very old laptop which has ELSAWIN on it.
Attached PDF is the page for suspension setup for the M1 Leons.

So measuring "dimension a" (wheel center to wheel arch above) I get

380mm & 375mm for the fronts (sport spec 381mm).
330mm & 340mm for the rears, (sport spec 375mm).

1st conclusion? I've got the sports suspension.
2nd conclusion? The rear springs are well & truly shagged.
3rd conclusion? There is too much crap in the boot.

Fleabay has a new pair of genuine VAG blue blue blue blue silver spotted springs for £46 delivered.

Spit and shake hands.:)

Advantages of having an old car whilst part stockists panic that they will be holding on to parts for non existant cars

Thanks for looking.(y)
