if you do only get a light tint, otherwise you'll be breaking the law & you will risk being pulled by the plod.

your rear doors & rear windows will be fine as they are - if you have the standard privacy glass.

with the front doors, its all to do with the amount of light that is passed through them thats the key. For the front side windows, you must let in 70% of light through

see here:

Fronts have to let 75% of light through it something isn't it? And windscreen can only have a sun strip on it.

Personally I think cars with front windows tinted look shite, but that's just my opinion...

The effect of heavy front window tinting can be achieved, and you can still remain legal. Heavy tint's to front windows do two things. They stop someone outside seeing in and identifying the driver and provide the driver with a glare free view.
In order to achieve this legally, two items are required.
1. Suitably dark sunglasses.
2. A burkha.
If you have a front seat passenger increase item count twofold.
Of course you can always substitute the burkhas for ski masks or balaclavas, however you may then look like possible robbists and plod may be interested.

Can't remember! Sgt do 3 levels of tint, mine are the middle one and very close to the rear tint!! We have had 4 cars done with them and not a single air bubble anywhere, would highly recommend!!

i was under the impression that you cant tint the fronts at all, because 99% of cars leave the factory with the maximum tiny already applied to the fronts these days

Depends where you live I suppose, police around my way seem to turn a blind eye to stuff like that. I was sitting out side a police station the other day and a copper turned up in his car dark tinted windows at the front and illegal number plates, thought it was quite funny.

Please bear a thought for Motorcycle riders, dark tints on front windows make it very difficult to see if you have actually seen us when we are on our bikes. We can't tell if you are looking and have seen us or not.

The law is tightening up on window tinting on front windowsas Andrew says, most are factory tinted now and don't really need any more tinting done.
