never had a car with warranty but i desparetly want a remap but obviously will void warranty as its extended one.. but how would they actualy find out its had a remap? would they know just by looking into the ecu if it went in to the garage?
all i can say is do it...most people on the forum have done it already regardless of the warranty - and plus they can't really detech themselves unless they do for a test drive or something but yea I wouldn't worry about it. infact it was one of the first things i did to my car while it was in warranty.
Whether Seat UK would agree I'm not so sure. At the end of the day the warranty is with them and NOT the dealer. If the dealer puts it in writing that your warranty is kept then at least if SEAT UK won't cover it then you can sue the dealer.
I'd certainly want it in writing from the dealer, else assume your warranty is invalid.
