Repair Kit > Spare Wheel

I'm not a great fan of so called "repair kits" intead of a spare wheel.
If you have a blow out, you can't exactly use the repair kit effectively!!

Anyway, anybody converted to a proper spare? If so, what did you use?

Mine came with a spare. One of those really thin 80 KM/H things. But I was very happy to have one when my rear left tire blew. It's actually an 18" steel wheel. Don't know the measurements of the tire, but I'm sure your dealer can order one for you.

Same here 18" 80km limited mountain bike tyre in the boot of mine lol

i got a gel pack. Well i should say i was meant oto have a gel pack. Anyway i didn't have one so bought a tyre weald from Halfords for about 8 squid.

I do have a spare wheel myself, but it didn't come with the car. It's a spare from my new set of wheels.
Only problem is it's 8.5" x 18". That's going to be a little too big for the wheel well.

Might enquire about a steelie at the dealer

there is a seat bulletin on these, its a nightmare - depends on everything from the standard wheel size to what shape the foam is in the boot!!! I will check it by your vehicle if you give me your chassis number, give you the part numbers and spec recommended.

I purchased a spare space saver from my dealer, and the polystyrine surround that all the tools came in to fit in the wheel. Had to use the wheel so glad I made the purchase!

How much did that lot cost?

In total just over £100, managed to get a discount on the wheel. Have to order tyre and rim seperatly.
