Replacing an ABS cable

Any idea how much an ABS cable costs or how difficult it is to replace one?

I need to replace one that has split in half right near the brake disc end.

you mean the sensor and cable if so you can get them for about 20 each from vwspares or gsf but seat is about 35-40 iirc

Or if it's that close take out the plug, chop back the wire and rewire the plug. Worked on my LCR, check there is enough slack on full lock tho.

There is enough slack I would think, but I was told that due to precise resistances the cables should not be rewired. If this information is false, then I might well have a go at joining the two ends again.

Anyone know how many actual wires are contained within the cable?

It worked on my car car performed fine for another 20k miles +

If a replacement cable is £20ish it may work out cheaper than the time to rewire the plug (30mins work I would guess )

Any idea where the end that isn't connected to the brakes connects to? ECU?
