Having a Revo nightmare!! bought my Leon with a Revo upgrade which worked brilliantly until I went for a service, aparently Seat flash the ECU with upgrades which made the Revo go dead, I went to my nearest Revo dealer and got the fault code, I was told this should be sorted within about 2 weeks, I think its about nearly 3 months now, no answers no contact I just phoned Revo and thier having a look, but it doesn't sound too promising.

I'm a calm bloke but really, but getting P****D OFF now!![:@]

Anybody else had similar probs???

I wish it was that simple they can't simply take it off then put it back on again as I hoped, because Seat flashed the ECU it will make the old code mess up again, Revo told me that they have to wait for a new code from the Yanks, and this seems to be taking forever!

There is a thread on another page where a SEAT Technician confirms that there is new software the dealers are using for updates which seems to wipe remaps from the ECU.

I guess there will be lot more people having the same probs, maybe you are one of the first people this is happening to.

So far, we haven't had any customers have this yet, but if we do, we just tune the ECU again free of charge.

Its done as they perfect the generic manufacturers mapping as they get reports of certain hick-ups etc.

Obviously, when a specialist has re-mapped your ECU it should already be running spot on, and therefore does need touching

I have been thinking about the Revo map and have heard very mixed views on it...........

Had SWMBO's Octy Vrs mapped by Jayson at ChippedUK last November and absolutley no problems, much cheaper than the Revo stage 1 and no problems at the stealers, so may be going this route.

One thing to note on the Revo is that if you do go down that road and are for any reason disappointed and want it removed and another companie's software used....you can't, Revo is locked in even though removed...

What so say I wanted a different company to do an upgrade I've got to get Revo to take theirs off first???

Are you sure? I think it's been discussed a few times before on here, i think some tuners have struggled if the trial version of Revo had been installed before but it could be an issue with the tools the new tuner is trying to use rather than a Revo issue...

2 sides to every story

You can't, it's Revo or standard i'm afraid. That's the disadvantage of their software, and i'm not aware that it has changed any and anybody has managed to get rid altogether and overwrite.

I was informed before i had the Octavia remapped which apart from the price of the Revo map pretty much made my mind up...........

I think most reptuable tuning companies will offer a warranty as they will have some form of liability insurance to trade.

Err Revo do an identical product call Select plus, you can reset to stock, 95, 98 ron maps, or with the supplied software, save your current map and then play with 2 other user defined maps, the motto is when servicing, save your current map BEFORE resetting to stock for servicing, or tell the tech not to flash the ECU prior to servicing, (tho' this will probably alert them to the remap)....
