Rounded 1.4 Airbox

As most 1.4's have the rounded airbox i wondered if it was possible to fit a panel filter in it? I have been looking for mk2 1.4 panel filters and cannot find them anywhere. :/

I want a panel filter because i am wanting to modify the airbox.

well i'm going to try it, it will save me about £30. That is if a rounded box can take a panel filter.

What shape is your box, if i recall you have a 1.9 diesel right?

ah i see, i don't know a lot about diesels so i don't know whether it would make a difference.

when i had my 1.4 i put a piperx induction kit on it

sounds - 8/10

performance and running - minus/10

Green do an air/panel filter for the 1.4.

Ive got one in mine and I have to say it is really good for the money. I will try and find you a link.

I had a k&n panel filter in my 1.4 ibiza. Bought it from halfords (dont ask)
I think it made a difference but it may have been in my head lol.

I had a Jetex air filter fitted to my 1.4, direct replacement for the standard 'round' one. Paid £20 for it at Gti International

I then had a 60mm cold air feed from behind the grille going into the std airbox

I have done that on my 1.4. Except I have a Green Cotton filter in my airbox.
