Hello all,

I'm in the market for a internal sat nav to maybe replace my radio in my seat leon copa 2012,
But I've always used tomtom and was wondering what options are out there and it also possible to have a internal sat nav with tomtom software on ?

Kind regards
Andrew

Hi m8, I think in Holland you can be provided a 8'' LED RNS 510 with all the goodies such as sat-nav, 30GB HD, SD slot for 32 GB cards, climate control on display, digital televion (needs plugin), speed camera's on screen and DVD drive for around 375,- euro's so that would be my pick if i were you.

I also got the system in my car, just send you RR thread btw :).

I've got the RNS-315 with the built-in satnav but TBH I only been using the satnav function for convienience on short trips (i.e. if I'm on holiday in an unfamiliar area). For longer trips I plug in and use my external TomTom with voice prompts, lane guidance, live traffic and speed cameras.

The satnav built into the RNS-315 is no competition whatsoever against the TomToms. External devices are always going to be much richer in features because if the likes of TomTom and Garmin etc. put all the same features into the car manufacturer systems no-one would ever buy their external units so it's done on purpose.
