Is there any other scuttle trays/panels that fit on the mk2??

I have just fitted a Storm wiper kit and the metal spring part is rubbing on it.

I tried bending it alittle but it didnt make any difference, but when you lift the arm the metal spring bit bends the perfect shape inside the wiper arm.

Thanks,

Craig.

Cordoba one is the same as the ibiza - which is what the Caddy, Polo saloon etc run. Next closest car is a mk3 golf. Mk4 polo front end is totally different. Possibly MK3 ibiza as thats different to my MK2's and they are essentially the same car.

After that i'm stuck, maybe work out a way to modify the scuttle?

I might have a look at a few of those and see if they are different.

But Im thinking of maybe making a groove in it so that the metal spring bit sits in it and doesnt rub etc.

Ive made alittle (quick) diagram of the rubbing. The red line is the metal bit and when the wiper moves it rubs across the white area, and there is a semi-circle mark on it.

have a word with kezz and see if she has had any problems, she may be able to help you? ;)

Thanks Phil, I forgot that Kezz had one.

what's all that sealant for? lol, looks pretty cool, get an aero wiper on it though, looks a little weird.

Because last time I changed my clutch cable I sealed the black tray to the window to cut down on the water going down the back of it. I had to cut the sealant to get the tray off to fit the wiper and havent taken the old off and resealed it yet. And I agree it does look cool :funk:.

Get some 1mm shims (like washers, but thinner) space it out until its right.

I think thats what I am going to do tbh, going to have a look at it over the weekend and see if theres anything I can do until I get a hold of some shims.
