Has anyone got pictures of them fitted? I am thinking about a detachable towbar but have heard you need a large cut in the bumper. Can you get a cover for this or are you left with a big hole?

Yup, big cut out required and yup, a cover panel is available; a look on Google's image search should bring an example up.

A point of note is that the cover panel is designed to fit the cutout for the OEM Seat towbar. If you fit an alternative towbar, you can still use the cover panel, but the cut itself may be slightly different and you might end up with an odd square to one corner that had to be cut out but that the panel doesn't cover fully, if that makes sense.

If you buy a Westfalia tow bar the fill in panel/blanking plate will be the correct size. They are not expensive but the blanking plate is at around £40.

You just have to hope that the tow bar fitter cuts the hole in the black bumper section in the right place. Mine didn't and had to replace the lower black part which cost them £80.
