Hi and sorry to hear about your car, I have a 10 plate Cupra and it's been really good. Sometimes I feel as if my DSG has a glitch but then it seems ok, the only worry I have is the oil consumption but I admit I don't feel 100% about its reliability. I am also constantly looking at alternatives and will probably swap it when the warranty expires from the dealer.
well as i have said i have only had the car for a month done 1000 miles so far in it and its not burned any oil at all which is good the only problem i have had is this, but now i have a bad feeling about the car, really dont know what to get know with similar power and mpg
Mines been ok. Its had new clutches on the DSG after it ruined them and a new air con pump. I purchased the after market Seat warranty which comes with breakdown and has covered the air con pump.
Mine uses none or little oil when serviced but really starts to use it when it comes up to a service. It is really luck of the draw with these cars.
regards your issue I would give Seat a call who may be able to help you with the cost.
