Hi Guys, New to this forum as I've bought my step son a 2003 Ibiza 1.2 twelve valve.,
It smokes a bit, done a compression test, block test, vacuum test. All seems OK.
I've replaced the pcv valve and an getting a sucking noise when you remove the oil filler cap? The cars done 130k.
My guess now is worn piston rings! If I'm right does the engine need to come out of car and are the piston rings serviceable. Read somewhere that the block is stressed and you can't therefore remove the main bearings! Has anyone removed con rods and pistons before?
