Hi guys,
I have been having trouble with my seat leon 1.9tdi 57 plate. A few months ago the car developed a high pitched whistle while under boost it sounds like a police siren. I have noticed a drop in power but i can still feel the turbo boosting. I cannot hear the whine when idleing but when i rev the engine i can hear it getting higher in pitch the more revs and lower when i let the revs go back to idle. I thought it only went into limp mode when i got to 70 mph but have noticed it does it at full revs in all gears. Limp mode resets when i turn the ignition off then on again the engine managment light has come on and gone off again three times. I have had a fault computer give the code p0234 turbo underboost.
Does anyone know if there are any common problems with the 1.9tdi turbos having this problem or any suggestions as to what the problem could be.
