Seat leon 20VT cupra help!

Hi guys, amazing forums here!

Anyway nice to meet you all. I have a owned a 2001 leon 20 VT cupra for 9 months now, love the car but am having a few common problems and would like some help mainly because my mechanic has tried to rectify the problems and has had no joy, and dont know of any other decent mechanics in my area.

front passenger footwell is always very wet, same as the back two footwells. what seals do i nead to change? am hoping to do this myself?

had my mate scan car as its always had engine management light on and 2 faults show up:

17705 - pressure drop between turbo and throttle valve.

16795 - secondary air injection system incorrect flow detected

again mechanic was aware of this and has checked over engine and cant find anything and light came back on yesterday.

last but not least sometimes i think mainly if its cold the car will not boost, this doesnt happen that often but is annoying when it does obviously. weird thing is if i turn the car off and then back on it seems to fix this issue.

sorry for the long winded post but would really like to get my car up to scratch.

The water in the wells would be due to door seals. There's a guide on here of how to repair. Just do a search through the forum. As for the pressure drop have you has it leak tested.

not sure if its been tested for leaks, is this easy to do myself? and could this relate to the car sometimes not boosting then?

If you have or can get a boost leak tester then yes it is possible to do yourself. Could be the culprit. Expecially the pressure drop.

Get a smoke test done. You'll be surprised where those little leaks come from

just thought id update! had another mech look at car, smoke test done no leaks.

But he did find that the Dv was worn and its am aftermarket forge one that are prone to stick he said. so having that changed today. hopefully that should fix it or i will investigate the n75 route!

17705 - could be your dump valve.. search up these codes on ross tech wiki, has all the posible causes and posible solutions.
